What is aesthetics?

What is Xeomin?

Xeomin is a cosmetic injection that contains botulinum toxin type A, or what you may know better as “botox.” This prescription aesthetic treatment is used to treat your moderate-to-severe frown lines found in between your eyebrows. Xeomin works by temporarily stopping the movement of the muscles under your skin that creates the lines and wrinkles.

Dr. Senchani and her team at Women’s Health Specialists of Central Florida can provide you with the aesthetic treatment in 20 minutes or less, so it’s something you can easily schedule on your lunch break.

You should start to notice an improvement in your look within 3-4 days, and with good care, your treatment should last up to three months.

There’s little downtime following your injections, so you can quickly go back to your usual routine afterward. However, Dr. Senchani may recommend you avoid strenuous activity for up to two hours following the injection.

What is Belotero?

Belotero is a dermal filler injection Dr. Senchani and her team use to smooth out and fill in the lines and wrinkles around your lips and mouth, including the nasolabial lines that run from your nose to the corners of your mouth.

Belotero contains a gel-like substance that adds volume under your skin to smooth out the creases and erase years from your look.

Like Xeomin, Belotero injections only take a few minutes, but the results are instant. You should be able to resume your usual activities following your aesthetic injections, although it’s recommended that you avoid strenuous activity and prolonged sun exposure for up to 24 hours.

With good skin care practices, which includes regular use of sunblock, your Belotero injections should keep the lines away for up to a year.
